About the role:
1. £13.69 per hour
2. Location: Ballymena/Larne/Carrickfergus
3. Hours of Work: Casual (18-24 hours per week for 3 weeks) as & when required
4. Duration: 20th July - 7th August 2026

Duties:
6. Assist the Programme Coordinator in the development and implementation of a structural programme of supervised indoor and outdoor activities including day trips, across a variety of sporting and non-sporting themes.
7. Assist in the preparation of materials and resources for use in the Holiday Scheme/Programmes.
8. Ensure that participants are supervised at all times and are fully engaged in activities and take control of any disruptive behaviour.
9. Adhere to and comply with all Council policies and procedures relevant to this role, including arrangements for risk management.
10. Ensure that the Scheme premises are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
11. In conjunction with the Coordinator, maintain accurate records of work, accidents and incidents where appropriate.
Criteria:
12. A minimum of 4 GCSE’s (Grades A-C) including English Language or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy. AND,
13. A coaching qualification in sport(s) – Minimum of Level 1, physical education or a teaching, classroom assistant or youth work qualification.
14. Understanding of the responsibilities and practical aspects of working with children/young people.
15. A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a car OR Have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
16. As the nature of this post is likely to involve working with or being in close contact with children and/or vulnerable adults any offer of appointment will be subject to an Enhanced AccessNI Disclosure.
