Cyber Security Analyst/Data Loss Prevention (DLP) SME
Client: Global IT services, consulting, and business solutions company
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst / Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Subject Matter Expert to join a critical cybersecurity function within a leading organisation. This role will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimising enterprise-wide DLP capabilities, ensuring robust data protection across cloud, endpoint, email, and network environments.
The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority for DLP, providing strategic guidance and hands‑on expertise in solution architecture, policy configuration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of DLP solutions across the enterprise
* Act as the SME for Microsoft Purview DLP and Zscaler DLP across multiple data channels
* Develop, implement, and refine DLP policies aligned with organisational data protection requirements
* Collaborate with security architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure best‑practice implementation
* Conduct detailed analysis and tuning to minimise false positives and enhance detection accuracy
* Partner with SOC and Cyber Operations teams to support incident response, investigation, and remediation
* Drive DLP governance, reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and architectural designs
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a senior DLP or data protection role
* Strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Purview DLP, including policy management, endpoint DLP, and cloud integrations
* Extensive experience with Zscaler DLP, including policy configuration and SaaS data flow analysis
* Solid understanding of enterprise data flows, cloud security architectures, and data classification frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex DLP scenarios across multiple platforms
