The post holder will be responsible for leading in their environment, having extensive knowledge of Vacuum Forming/ CNC machining processes and Programming. They will be integral for shop floor problem solving and improvements, with a key focus on training of other stakeholders, to ensure the department is equipped with a skilled cross functional team. The successful candidate will be required to work the following 3 shift rotation pattern: Week 1 - Night Shift - 22:00 - 06:15 - Sunday to Thursday Week 2 - Evening Shift - 14:00 - 22:15 - Monday - Friday Week 3 - Day Shift - 06:00 - 14:15 - Monday to Friday Responsibilities Operate several CNC Machines/ Vacuum Forming Machines to produce high quality components, ensuring that production deadlines are met, efficiently, safely and to appropriate quality standards. Train other stakeholders and maintain documentation. Identify training gaps and implement training plan to address. Use problem solving skills to maximise machine capabilities and eliminate waste during machining/ forming. First point of contact on the shop floor for all machining issues which include quality, programming and machine maintenance issues. Liaise with the Programming/ CAD department to discuss improvements to add value to the machining/ forming process. Check and maintain machinery/ tooling daily to ensure functionality and liaise with the Maintenance department with any machine issues that affect quality and production. Understand specifications of the task at hand using engineering drawings. Inspect and measure finished products and determine if the process has been completed properly. Liaise with Lead/Manager to ensure high standards of work and on time delivery in accordance with the business needs. Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace. Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to. Escalate issues to management as required. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations. Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working area. Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure processes and Work Instructions are kept up to date.
