Master – Coastal Towage – Svitzer

Key Responsibilities
The Tug Master will be responsible for safe, efficient operations and maintaining a high standard for Svitzer vessels.
Specific Responsibilities
* Operate safely during assisted ship operations and coastal towage in a timely manner.
* Ensure a safety culture on board at all times and that all crew use the available tools.
* Administer all ship‑management activities, including timely safety and operational reporting and record keeping.
* Coordinate closely with Marine Managers, Harbour Pilots and other stakeholders to plan and communicate towage operations.
Qualifications
* Minimum Master certificate.
* Experience with ASD propulsion.
* Harbour/terminal and coastal towage experience essential.
* Strong administrative and computer skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* UK driving licence.
Applicants must provide a copy of their ENG1 and COC with the application.
Primary location is the Tyne, but applications from across the UK are welcome. The role involves a 2‑weeks on/off rotation living aboard the Ormesby Cross.
