 
        Community Engagement Outreach Worker – Smoking Cessation Hours Of Work: Full Time – 37 hrs per week to cover Cheshire West and Chester Open to job share at 18.5 hours per week 1 post for Ellesmere Port, Neston & Chester locality 1 post for Frodsham, Northwich & Winsford locality Salary: £25,989 per annum Contract: Fixed Term until March 2027 Closing date : Friday 7th November 2025 Interview date: Wednesday 19th November 2025 JOB PURPOSE: We’re launching an ambitious new strategy in April 2026, and we want you to be part of it! This role is all about connecting communities to our stop smoking service, not delivering clinical interventions. You will focus on increasing referrals, especially among: Routine and manual workers Children and young people People experiencing poor mental health Residents living in areas of deprivation You don’t need previous experience in smoking cessation we will provide full training and support. What You will Be Doing: Driving Referrals: Lead targeted outreach to raise awareness and generate referrals into our stop smoking program. Engaging Communities: Build relationships with local organizations, workplaces, schools, and community groups to promote our service and help us better understand the barriers to accessing. Support Campaigns: Help deliver key public health campaigns like: Stoptober New Year’s Health Harms National No Smoking Day Promote Harm Reduction: Champion and deliver our Swap to Stop initiatives, encouraging safer alternatives to tobacco use. Deliver Basic Health Checks: Support our cardiovascular disease outreach program with opportunistic blood pressure checks and other simple screenings. Track Impact: Record and map your activities and produce quarterly reports to share what is working and where we can improve. Shape Strategy: Your insights will help influence the future direction of our service. What We Are Looking For: Someone who is passionate, self-motivated, and able to work with autonomy. A natural people person with flair for communications and community engagement. Experience in encouraging residents into community programs is a plus, but not essential. Comfortable with basic admin and digital tools to track activity and connect with residents online. Why Join Us?
