Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Lead

Job Type: Hybrid (2-3 days on-site in London, City)

Location: London, UK

Pay: Day Rate

-----------------------------------

Job Summary:
Robert Half has partnered with a leading real estate management company to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead. This is a hybrid role that offers an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, hands-on leader to take ownership of software testing initiatives within an organisation undergoing transformation and technology adoption. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and implementing robust testing strategies, leading a team of testers and developers, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

As the QA Lead, you will drive process improvements, foster collaboration across teams, and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software solutions that align with organisational goals. Experience with a range of testing platforms and/or the adoption of new tools is desirable, as is a strong understanding of the property industry, though this is not essential.

The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in test strategy, automation testing, and stakeholder engagement, demonstrating both leadership skills and technical proficiency.

-----------------------------------

Key Responsibilities:

* Strategy & Planning: Define the overall testing approach, including what's tested, how it's tested, and when, while ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and project timelines.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide the QA team, ensuring effective task delegation and prompt removal of roadblocks. Foster a collaborative team environment where individuals can thrive.
* Process Ownership: Ensure QA processes and best practices are followed, while identifying opportunities to refine and optimise workflows.
* Communication Bridge: Act as the link between QA, development teams, product managers, and stakeholders, ensuring technical insights from testing are translated into actionable business decisions.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify potential quality risks and work with teams to mitigate or resolve them prior to release.
* Metrics & Reporting: Track and assess quality metrics, including test performance, defect trends, and release readiness, and communicate findings to facilitate informed decision-making.
-----------------------------------

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

* Strong experience leading test teams and developers, fostering productivity and collaboration.
* Demonstrated expertise in defining and implementing comprehensive test strategies.
* Advanced knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Mabl, AcelQ, Cypress, or similar).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical testing data to stakeholders as meaningful insights.
* In-depth understanding of risk management within software quality assurance, with a track record of resolving project issues effectively.
* Proven ability to monitor and report on quality metrics to improve testing outcomes and accelerate release cycles.
-----------------------------------

Desirable Skills:

* Familiarity with the property industry or experience working on real estate-related digital products.
* Experience with Agile project management methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe®.
* Hands-on exposure to a variety of testing platforms or the implementation of new tools to enhance QA processes.
-----------------------------------

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Extensive experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role, preferably within technology-driven or transformation projects.
-----------------------------------

What's On Offer:

* A flexible hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days per week on-site in London (City).
* Competitive day rate and benefits package, based on experience and market benchmarks.
* The opportunity to work on cutting-edge transformation initiatives and property-focused projects.
* A collaborative culture that values innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
