English Teacher - Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
If you are an English Specialist who loves the classroom but wants more control over your calendar, we have the perfect solution. We are currently booking talented educators for a variety of short‑term supply and long‑term placements across Mildenhall and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
* Teach key areas including literature, language, reading, writing, and comprehension
* Support students in developing strong communication and analytical skills
* Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
* Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with different abilities
* Assess and record pupil progress when required
* Collaborate with colleagues during longer‑term placements
* Contribute to a positive and purposeful learning environment
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
* Confident behaviour and classroom management skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire students across different year groups
* Adaptable across varied school environments
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
