Overview
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator at Bangor University Students’ Union (Undeb Bangor). This role, key to shaping the Union’s digital presence, involves managing social media channels, updating the website, producing engaging content, and coordinating campaigns and events.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the SU’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) by creating posts, stories, videos, and graphics that reflect the student voice and support campaigns and events.
* Update and maintain the SU website, ensuring content is fresh, accessible, and aligned with brand.
* Produce and schedule content calendars, collaborate with staff and student groups, and support integrated marketing activities.
* Design and produce print and digital assets such as posters, flyers, banners and other promotional materials.
* Supervise and assign tasks to student staff, providing training on digital platforms and tools.
* Monitor engagement metrics, use insights to improve content and optimise performance.
* Support the promotion of SU events and initiatives through creative, student‑focused campaigns.
Qualifications
* Educated to A‑Level or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience managing social media channels and producing digital content.
* Strong graphic design skills, with proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and basic photo/video editing.
* Experience with website content administration (WordPress preferred).
* Excellent communication skills in both Welsh and English.
* Strong organisational and project management abilities.
* Ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable
* Experience working in a student union, higher education or membership‑led organisation.
* Experience co‑creating content with students.
* Innovative, student‑focused approach to communications.
* Willingness to take on wider responsibilities.

The role is based on campus at Bangor, with the option to spend some time working remotely (within the UK) under the Dynamic Working framework to support work‑life balance. It is also possible to carry out the role on a part‑time or job‑share basis.
