Overview
HSE Recruitment Network are working with a large manufacturing site in Shoreham-by-Sea seeking a Health, Safety, Environmental Quality Advisor to support the site in improving compliance and culture across the site. The site is large and complex, with around 350 staff and activities including assembly, manufacturing, fuels, chemicals, FLT, and environmental permits. You will work alongside the other HSEQ Advisor, the Senior Leadership Team on site, and with support from the HSEQ Director to build and improve culture and ensure high levels of compliance.
The role involves managing ISO systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001, 27001), dealing with internal and external audits, trend analysis, risk assessment reviews, and training, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain ISO systems: 45001, 14001, 9001, and 27001.
* Coordinate internal and external audits and drive ongoing compliance improvements.
* Conduct trend analysis and risk assessment reviews; implement corrective actions.
* Design and deliver training to build a strong HSEQ culture across the site.
* Collaborate with the HSEQ Director, site SLT, and other HSEQ Advisor to drive continuous improvement.
Person specification / Qualifications
* NEBOSH Certificate (minimum).
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or production is advantageous, but not essential if you have the right motivation and communication skills.
* Internal auditor, fire safety, or environmental/waste experience is desirable.
* Strong communication skills, ability to influence at all levels, hands-on approach, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable language.
Salary
Salary is negotiable; budget is ideally £40,000–£50,000, with potential for more for the right person.
