Join Our Dedicated Team at Consett Junior School We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our committed staff team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing across Key Stage 2 in a warm, welcoming school environment. Key Responsibilities • Deliver individual and small group support across the primary age range (KS2). • Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils where necessary. • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum. • Support pupils’ individual timetables and learning needs effectively. • Maintain high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour. • Foster a supportive and understanding atmosphere that promotes pupil wellbeing. • Support pupils in breakfast club with additional learning and supervision Required Qualifications and Experience • Experience supporting children in a primary school setting, preferably within KS2. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Understanding of pupils’ diverse needs with a commitment to high standards of behaviour and achievement. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teaching staff and engage with pupils. Desirable Qualities • Enthusiasm for contributing to the holistic development of pupils. • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and pupils. • A caring, patient, and approachable manner.
