Pathways Care and Support Services Ltd is currently recruiting for an IT Operations Technician. We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, hardware, and software applications, along with excellent communication skills to effectively assist users.
We are a health and social care provider with over six years of experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, autism spectrum disorder in supported living accommodations. We also provide respite and discharge to assess (D2A) accommodation for adults leaving hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, development, deploy and manage operations and systems of IT projects including staff rostering, client information databases, staff clock in and out systems, establish and manage IT user repositories and compliance dashboards etc.
* Set up and maintain computer networks, hardware, software and storage systems, including LAN configurations and VPN setups
* Carry out, maintain and secure cyber security networks and data including disaster and recovery plans
* Provide support to the network users, addressing user inquiries and issues promptly
* Troubleshoot, upgrades and support networking problems for applications such as Microsoft Office and other business-critical software
* Document all support interactions using tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira
* Oversee the annual IT budget, managing costs
* Research, test and purchase of new hardware, software, and other IT-related services
* Manage IT staff and collaborate with management team to ascertain IT system needs and provide solutions for the same
* Become a core part of the Management team with operational responsibilities
Person Specification/ Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or a related field
* In-depth understanding of computer hardware, software systems, networking, and IT security
* Strong experience in software troubleshooting across various platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills to manage and coordinate with teams
* Proven ability to manage IT projects, working independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for technical challenges
* Ability to align IT strategy with overall business goals
* Can easily and properly understand evolving technological trends
