The Role
Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer in the Operations Group at Abbott’s Witney Centre of Excellence, focusing on biosensor manufacturing. The role supports engineering projects, equipment validations, continuous improvement initiatives, and may include leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance with engineering projects and activities.
* Manage process equipment validations critical to business operations.
* Collaborate and communicate with internal engineering functions, other ADC departments, external suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
* Propose and contribute to initiatives that improve operations.
* Own project tasks and deliverables, ensuring they meet defined requirements.
* Manage complex capital projects with suppliers and subcontractors, coordinating across stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Degree in an engineering subject.
* Experience in project engineering or equipment validation within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
* Understanding of technical drawings and use of CAD systems.
* Knowledge of quality and regulatory systems in medical devices or pharmaceuticals (not essential).
* PC literate with ability to manage projects and adapt to changing situations.
* Strong problem‑solving, creative thinking and ability to design validation tests and experiments.
* Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and create accurate documentation in a highly regulated industry.
