In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a range of core functions including statutory reporting, audit, treasury, payroll, and endowment management. As Finance Manager, you will: Lead on the production of statutory accounts and support external audit delivery Provide technical guidance on accounting treatments and ensure strong financial controls Manage and support a small transactional team, overseeing AR/AP, month-end, and appraisals Support trust and endowment reporting, drawdowns, and financial planning Oversee payroll approvals, tax compliance, and salary sacrifice schemes Produce cash flow forecasts and ensure optimal treasury management Collaborate across departments to promote a culture of value-for-money and financial accountability What we’re looking for: CCAB-qualified finance professional with experience in consolidated accounts Excellent knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and accounting standards (RCCA/UK GAAP) Strong Excel skills (advanced level desirable) and comfort with finance systems Experience managing small teams and supporting operational finance Exceptional organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Experience in education, charities, or the wider non-profit/public sector is desirable This is a rewarding, hands-on role offering autonomy, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
