About the Role
As a Bank Paediatric Physiotherapist you will provide highly specialist and evidence‑based assessment, outcome measures, diagnosis and intervention for paediatric clients (aged 0‑18 years) as an autonomous practitioner. You have proven experience in independent caseload management and are able to support the development and growth of the Children’s Physiotherapy Service at Cromwell Hospital.
Responsibilities
 * Assess and manage referrals to Children’s Physiotherapy, primarily in an outpatient setting.
 * Provide specialist assessment for babies aged 0‑18 months with gross motor development concerns.
 * Manage musculoskeletal conditions such as head turning preference, torticollis, developmental dysplasia of the hip.
 * Treat babies and children with neurological, neurodevelopmental and genetic conditions.
 * Support conditions including Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), hypermobility, musculoskeletal issues or injuries.
 * Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient records in line with national requirements.
 * Manage clinical risk and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
 * Promote dignity, privacy, and safety, respecting cultural, spiritual and personal needs.
 * Participate in departmental training and share knowledge with colleagues.
 * Drive service development and growth within paediatric physiotherapy.
Qualifications
 * Degree in Physiotherapy.
 * HCPC registration.
 * Enhanced DBS clearance.
 * Proven experience in neurodevelopment, neurology, paediatric MSK or orthopaedics.
 * Knowledge of paediatric outcome measures and standardised assessments.
 * Knowledge of specialist equipment appropriate to paediatric physiotherapy.
