We have an exciting opportunity for Occupational Health Technicians to join our team. This is a peripatetic role based in Birkenhead, Moreton, and Chester, working 3 days a week on-site and 2 days home working. The role requires frequent travel with prior notice and regular overnight stays. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality services, including health surveillance, fitness for work assessments, and health promotion, delivered at client sites, mobile units, or RPS clinics.
The salary for this role will be between £46,000 and £48,000 per annum.
About The Team
The RPS Occupational Health team comprises clinicians dedicated to promoting and maintaining good health in the workplace through risk-based health surveillance, wellbeing initiatives, health screening, and case management. Our team includes qualified Occupational Health Nurses, Doctors, Technicians, and Advisors. We prioritize quality over quantity, limiting assessments to six per day to ensure excellent service and staff well-being.
About You
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a key role in helping our clients manage health and wellbeing solutions. Your responsibilities include delivering consultations on fitness for work, absence management, and employee assistance programs. We seek passionate individuals who enjoy variety, teamwork, and being valued as individuals.
* Your Responsibilities: Provide proactive Occupational Health services to clients, coordinate activities ensuring legislative compliance, and prevent adverse health effects through specialist knowledge.
* Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Experience in health service delivery, case management, health surveillance, and screening procedures (audiometry, spirometry, skin management). Commitment to personal CPD to maintain NMC registration. Strong organizational and IT skills, self-motivation, and team leadership qualities.
* Qualifications: Registered General Nurse with a post-registration qualification in Occupational Health (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree). Valid UK driving license.
