Position Overview:
A Sports Analytics company is looking for a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our software applications. You will work closely with our team of performance analysts, data analysts and sport scientists to create innovative solutions that help our clients achieve their performance goals. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about software development and has experience in leading a team in developing applications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Role and Responsibilities:
· Develop software solutions that meet the needs of our clients in the elite sports industry.
· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using programming languages including .Net/C#/Asp.Net MVC. RabbitMQ and Blazor.
· Collaborate with our team of data analysts, sport scientists, and coaches to understand their requirements and create effective solutions.
· Test and debug software applications to ensure they are free from errors and meet functional requirements.
· Manage Sprints and delegate tasks appropriately to members of the team.
· Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support for clients using our software applications.
· Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and recommend improvements to our existing systems.
· Create technical documentation and user manuals for our software applications.
· Lead code reviews and guide team discussions on best practices and development processes.
Skills and Experience:
· A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
· 5-7 years of experience in software development, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with experience as a team lead.
· Strong proficiency in programming languages such as .Net/C#/Asp.Net MVC.. Experience designing UI screens with HTML/CSS.
· Familiarity with database systems such as SQL and NoSQL.
· Experience running scrum practices and methodologies
· Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross functional teams. Experience running teams on Azure DevOps is a plus.
· Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Flexibility in working patterns and availability around sporting events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
