Project Manager – Thames Water Framework

Salary: £70,000 – £82,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
About the Role
We’re recruiting for a skilled Project Manager to lead water infrastructure projects across the Thames Water framework, with a focus on sites in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Working for a Tier 1 main contractor, you’ll be responsible for delivering capital works under AMP7/AMP8, ensuring safety, quality, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a long-term opportunity to shape essential infrastructure while working within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full lifecycle of clean and wastewater projects, from planning through to handover
* Lead site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver works to Thames Water standards
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, environmental policies, and client specifications
* Monitor programme progress, budgets, and risk registers, reporting to senior leadership and client teams
* Drive stakeholder engagement and maintain strong client relationships
* Oversee change control, commercial forecasting, and contract administration under NEC forms
* Champion health & safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering water or engineering projects within regulated frameworks
* Strong working knowledge of Thames Water processes
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and relevant construction or engineering qualifications
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
Desirable
* MEICA or pipeline rehabilitation experience
* Familiarity with EUSR, GIRS, and Thames Water permitting systems
* Proficiency with digital project tools (e.g., CDEs, Primavera P6, Power BI)
