We are seeking a committed early years practitioner with a passion for inclusion to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team, led by our Lead SEND practitioners. Our SEND team work across our setting to enable all our children to thrive and develop their social communication and interaction skills.
We have a dedicated inside and outside space with enhanced ratios and lower numbers of children, as well as supporting children in the busier areas of our setting. Your role will be to work in partnership with a team of experienced early years practitioner’s and teachers, and support them in enabling all children to access their curriculum. The nursery team respond together to encourage children to play and learn across the setting. You will support them in planning for, and responding to the children’s strengths and interests and any emerging needs or differences in learning.
We are looking for practitioners who:
• Have a genuine interest in working with all children in a neuro affirming environment, where we celebrate and include all neuro differences.
• Are curious and interested in how children learn and develop.
• Can build loving relationships with our children, families, team and community based on trust.
• Can positively support children to actively explore the learning environment inside and outside.
• Have experience or interest in working with all children who are developing at their own pace. Join us in celebrating their strengths and needs and a neuro affirming environment.
• Are responsive and attuned to children’s verbal and non-verbal communication and interaction needs.
• Can work with the key person and other leaders to implement and monitor Individual Provision Plans and small group intervention sessions (Chatterbox, Attention Autism etc)
• Can work with the team to ensure all children’s safety in our busy nursery environment.
