Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - PRU / Alternative Provision - £100-£120 a day (depending on experience) - Full Time - Immediate Start

* Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour required
* Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Experience working in a PRU or alternative provision highly desirable
* Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Must be confident with behaviour management, de-escalation and classroom support
* Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant - Required full time ASAP

The Role - Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant

Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a PRU setting. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils manage behaviour, regulate emotions and re-engage with learning. The role combines classroom support with behaviour intervention, including implementing support plans, using de-escalation techniques, promoting positive behaviour and assisting pupils to access lessons within a structured environment.

The School - Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant

This pupil referral unit is located in the London Borough of Lewisham and is within walking distance of a nearby London Overground station. The provision supports pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, offering personalised learning, strong behaviour support and clear reintegration pathways. The school was judged 'Good' at its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2023.
