Looking at autism through a sensory lens
On Friday, 5 April, Helen Cranstone, a Specialist Occupational Therapist, presented a workshop-style talk on understanding autism through a sensory perspective, discussing challenges faced by autistic youth with additional needs. Helen has over 25 years of experience in sensory integration, autism, learning disabilities, and mental health.
The parent perspective – facing the challenges of two autistic boys
Sharon Bentley, mother of two autistic sons, shared her journey of hope, discovery, and celebration, highlighting how structured support has positively impacted her sons' lives, including her son Rowan, who resides at Prior’s Court.
