Cochrane Medical Practice is seeking a motivated and committed GP Locum with a view to be salaried join our busy, well established practice. We are offering flexible locum sessions with an opportunity to progress in a Salaried GP position for the right candidate.
We are a 5 GP Partner Practice with approximately 14,740 patients who transferred into the new Greenock Health Centre on May 2021. This purpose designed £20m building offers spacious and attractive working conditions.
Our extended Practice Team includes 2 Salaried GP's, 2 ANP's 2 Practice Nurse, 3 Healthcare assistants, 2 Secretary's, an experienced Reception Team,3 Practice Pharmacists, Community Links workers, Welfare Rights Officer and 2 CPN's. The overall running of the Practice is the responsibility of the Practice Manager and the Assistant Practice Manager. We use EMIS ,Docman and Lexacom for Digital Dictation. We will be moving to Vision in June 2026. You will be entitled to 6 weeks annual leave not including your Public Holiday entitlement.
We are a friendly motivated team who aim to offer a warm welcome to all new recruits and will strive to make any settling in period seamless. All Clinicians and the Practice Manager meet over coffee on a daily basis to share the morning work and discuss any issues.
The Practice is easily accessible from the M8 and is approximately 30 mins on the motorway from Central Glasgow. Traffic normally flows freely with the added bonus of scenic views of the River Clyde on the drive to work. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to our patients, and not discounting the importance of a life/work balance for all our staff and clinicians.
