Overview
Maintenance Technician - Estates role at NHS Scotland, based at Vale of Leven Hospital. You will be part of the Estates Department providing +safe, effective and efficient estates service to support clinical and administration activities within Healthcare and Acute Hospital Facilities. You may be required to work across all sites and properties within the remit of the department as routinely required.
Responsibilities
* Provide planned and breakdown maintenance and repair services in relation to all aspects of engineering and building services, plant and equipment.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support clinical and administrative activities.
* Undertake work across other disciplines as required; training will be provided as necessary.
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to meet service needs; may require unscheduled overtime or unsocial hours to undertake emergency repairs.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Completion of a recognized and registered apprenticeship with post-apprenticeship experience in Electrical Engineering equivalent to SVQ Level 4 / Higher National Diploma, Modern Apprenticeship Level 4, Professional Development Awards (SCQF 8-9).
* Proven practical core skills in your trade.
* HNC, B/Tech or City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Craft qualification or equal and approved.
* Current full UK Driving Licence (category B).
Location and Schedule
You will be based at Vale of Leven Hospital and will be required to work on all sites and properties within the remit of the department as routinely required. Shift pattern: Monday - Thursday, 08:00-16:00 and Friday 08:00-15:30 plus On-Call Requirement.
