Redbridge, East London
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner)
MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

We're working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Redbridge looking for an experienced and passionate SENCO to join their leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who believes every young person deserves the right support, at the right time, to achieve their full potential. You'll play a key role in shaping SEND provision across the school, supporting staff development, and ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.


What you'll be doing

* Leading and developing the school's SEND provision
* Managing and reviewing EHCPs and SEND support plans
* Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies
* Monitoring progress and outcomes for pupils with SEND
* Providing guidance, coaching and training to colleagues
* Supporting inclusive teaching practices across the school
* Ensuring statutory responsibilities and compliance are met
* Championing a culture where every student feels valued, supported and able to succeed


What we're looking for

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it
* Previous experience working within SEND provision
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
* A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to inclusion

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
