Legal Cashier – Ashford Full Time | Office Based | Immediate InterviewsAn established and highly respected law firm in Ashford is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team due to retirement. This is a key position offering stability, responsibility and long-term security within a traditional and supportive firm.If you are a confident Legal Cashier with strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules, this is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team with very low staff turnover.About the role This full-time, office-based Legal Cashier position (9:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday) will involve:
* Daily reconciliations of client and office accounts
* Posting and allocating transactions
* Managing Telegraphic Transfers and Faster Payments
* Processing cheques and banking
* Purchase ledger and VAT payments
* Month-end procedures
* Reviewing and transferring client balances
* Handling queries from Partners, staff and clients
* Ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
This is a hands-on role requiring extensive law firm accounts experience.What we are looking for The successful Legal Cashier will have:
* Proven experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
* Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (essential)
* Excellent reconciliation skills
* High attention to detail
* A team-focused and approachable manner
