Are you passionate about food and dedicated to delivering exceptional service? We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home!
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages, including setting up and clearing tables where necessary.
* Record the temperature of food at the point of service.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up of equipment and utensils.
* Collaborate with the catering team to deliver exceptional service.
* Ensure strict compliance with current food handling and hygiene standards, guided by Food Safety legislation and Environmental Health Standards.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, including manual handling, COSHH, and safe use of hazardous equipment.
Working hours:
* 20 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota, including early/late shifts and weekends.
* Previous experience of working in a kitchen environment.
* Demonstrates a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Has excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Displays a willingness to learn and undertake relevant courses as required.
