Main Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Senior Customer Advisor, the Customer Advisor will manage transactional activities related to customer relationship management and deliver exceptional customer service. The role involves cross-functional collaboration to resolve customer issues within SLAs, handle inquiries via the website or e-commerce system, manage complaints professionally, and support the achievement of sales and service targets in line with Unipart Rail’s Customer Engagement System.
This role is primarily reactive, with decision-making guided by established business processes and direction from the Head of Customer Support.
Skills & Analysis
The role requires good customer knowledge, market awareness, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a good understanding of customer engagement, are essential. Proficiency in SAP and IT, basic knowledge of commercial terms, and the ability to meet targets and deadlines are also required. A collaborative approach to customer engagement is vital.
Experience & Proven Ability
* Experience in customer service within a transactional environment
* Proficiency in SAP and Google software packages
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Team-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and resolve problems effectively
* Ability to identify and resolve process failures
Duties & Responsibilities
* Handling customer queries, processing orders, managing order books, and overseeing pricing and delivery processes
* Executing customer service activities to ensure satisfaction
* Managing stopped/restricted vehicles and customer-identified spares proactively
* Managing reports related to imminent failures and potential back orders
