Responsibilities
As a Transport Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind smooth daily operations—coordinating drivers, managing vehicle maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance across the fleet. You’ll also support customer service and office administration, maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional service both face-to-face and over the phone.
Acting as part of the site office team to provide support for Drivers and information to customers, booking company vehicles in for Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and ensuring all compliance schedules are met. Liaising with external garages and service providers to arrange vehicle repairs, maintenance, and MOTs. Communicating with Drivers to inform them of vehicle bookings, maintenance schedules, and any downtime required. Maintaining accurate vehicle service and inspection records, updating internal systems accordingly. Supporting the Site Manager & Assistant Site Manager with coordination of fleet availability and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
What We’ll Need From You
* General day to day office duties, including data entry
* Looking after the sales counter and serving customers in a professional and courteous manner
* Providing administration support to customer accounts
* Updating the system and completing spreadsheets as required
* Handling customer service queries
* Raising and processing invoices
* Liaising with Drivers regarding their routes and deliveries
* Serving customers face to face and over the phone
* Booking company vehicles in for Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and ensuring all compliance schedules are met
* Liaising with external garages and service providers to arrange vehicle repairs, maintenance, and MOTs
* Communicating with Drivers to inform them of vehicle bookings, maintenance schedules, and any downtime required
* Maintaining accurate vehicle service and inspection records, updating internal systems accordingly
