Watling Primary School is seeking a committed and empathetic individual to join us as an Inclusion Support Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to work at the heart of our school’s inclusion provision, supporting pupils who may be disengaged from learning or experiencing social, emotional and behavioural challenges. You will play a key role in helping pupils regulate their emotions, develop positive behaviours and successfully reintegrate into mainstream lessons.
Working closely with the SENDCo, teaching staff and senior leaders, you will deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, respond to behavioural needs and act as a consistent and trusted adult for pupils. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe, calm and purposeful learning environment, including leading the day-to-day operation of the Inclusion Hub.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to behaviour management and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs, particularly SEMH. You will need to be confident using de‑escalation strategies, facilitating restorative conversations and working collaboratively with staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Opened in September 2023, Watling Primary School is an exciting and growing school offering education from Nursery to Year 6. We are building something special - a place where children are inspired to explore, create and grow into confident, compassionate individuals. Our curriculum is designed to spark curiosity and develop character with a strong emphasis on STEAM, Forest School, sustainability and personal development. Every child is encouraged to discover their passions and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Watling Primary’s purpose‑built facilities reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation. From our STEAM room and arts studio to our sensory room, library and outdoor sports areas, every space is crafted to support both academic achievement and emotional wellbeing. We are proud to be a school where every child is known, valued, and empowered to thrive.
The Alliance Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
Due to our commitment to safer recruitment practices, applications are accepted through My New Term. The closing date for applications is Monday 22nd June 2026, 9am.
