Our specialist division, renowned for reinforced concrete basements, sub and superstructure frame construction, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You'll be working on a cutting-edge research facility & laboratory, in Oxford, featuring two plots connected by a link bridge.
What You'll Do:
As the sole Quantity Surveyor for a project or significant section, you'll manage the full commercial lifecycle:
Lead measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
Prepare and manage interim payment applications and certifications.
Draft, manage, and settle subcontracts.
Oversee and report on monthly project costs.
Prepare and settle final accounts and manage claims.
Mentor and manage junior QS team members.
Negotiate with clients and subcontractors to achieve project goals while maintaining strong relationships.
Advise project management on contractual implications and commercial risks.
Prepare comprehensive monthly contract review reports and financial information.
Support project budgeting and manage change control processes.
Ensure contracts are properly executed.
Keep management informed of any potential issues or risks.
What You'll Bring:
Direct delivery experience in sub and superstructure construction.
Familiarity with JCT contracts.
A relevant degree (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management) is desirable.
