We have an exciting opportunity for a Geophysical Field Technician to join our expanding geophysics team based in Hemel Hempstead. This is an ideal role for a motivated graduate or early-career geophysicist seeking hands-on, technically challenging fieldwork across the UK. The position is strongly focused on practical geophysical site investigations, outdoor survey operations, buried utility mapping, and the collection of high-quality geophysical data, with opportunities to develop into data processing, interpretation, and project delivery over time. Good communication skills are needed, the candidate must work well within a team environment and be self-motivated. This role will particularly suit candidates who: Hold (or are predicted to achieve in 2026) a 2:2 degree or above in geophysics or a related geoscience discipline Enjoy regular outdoor, physically demanding, and technically varied site work Are strong communicators and team players Have good self-motivation and organisational skills Demonstrate a good awareness of health and safety practices Are seeking to work with one of the UK’s leading near-surface geophysics consultancies The Geophysical Field Technician Role The successful candidate will play an active role in a wide range of geophysical and utility surveying projects, with a strong emphasis on field operations and technical site delivery.
