A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest and most complex Coronial areas in England and Wales. Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are looking for an exceptional candidate to join us as our Coroner Services Manager. The role plays a vital part in providing leadership and direction, ensuring the service strives for a culture of excellence to provide the very best standards for bereaved families in our area.
Responsibilities
The successful individual will:
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of coronial services and contribute to the future aims of the service.
* Leverage a strong track record of experience in a relevant role, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Oversee management of the area mortuary, including working within a highly regulated environment, knowledge of relevant legislation and the role of the HTA.
* Handle contract management, financial planning, management of budgets and statutory compliance.
* Develop the team, plan for the future, develop policy, and oversee day‑to‑day running of the service.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to form positive working relationships and engender confidence with a range of stakeholders.
* Experience in a highly regulated environment and knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Leadership experience, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Strong analytical and organisational skills, with experience in contract and financial management.
* Commitment to providing a timely, professional and efficient service for bereaved families.
