About the Role:
As a SEN Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of a team dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop essential life skills. This role offers a chance to positively impact the well-being and progress of children in a supportive and inclusive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Provide tailored support to students with communication and emotional regulation needs.
* Assist with personal care and mobility requirements where necessary.
* Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised support plans.
* Foster trusting relationships with students to promote engagement and confidence.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care and support.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant qualifications in SEN or therapeutic support (advantageous).
To work with GSL Education in SEN Support Worker, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
* Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
