Team Leader - Revenues and Benefits Salary - £44,075 - £49,282 (Grade 7) Hours - 37 Contract type - full time permanent Work Style - Flexible Revenues and Benefits Team Leader City of Wolverhampton Council is looking to recruit experienced and motivated Revenues and Benefits Team Leaders to play a key role in delivering high quality, customer focused statutory services for our residents and businesses. As a Team Leader, you will support the effective management of the Revenues and Benefits Service, maximising the collection of income owed to the Council, ensuring timely and accurate administration of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, as well as Council Tax, Business Rates and the BID (Business Improvement Districts) levy. You will also contribute to systems maintenance and service development, while leading a team responsible for one or more of these essential functions. What We’re Looking For Candidates with strong leadership skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: Expertise in the determination and assessment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax support claims from all tenure types, specialising in Supported and Temporary Accommodation Claims Challenging eligibility for supported housing and evaluating provider eligibility under Housing Benefit regulations Representing the service in forums, gateway meetings, and presentations with supported/temporary accommodation providers and stakeholders Billing, Assessment and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates and Business Improvement Districts(BID) Income collection and debt recovery Why Join Us? Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style.
