This is an immediate-start supply role with the potential for longer-term placement for the right candidate. About the Role / Role Overview: As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils aged 5–7, helping them to achieve both academically and socially during these vital early stages of education. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver inspiring and inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1. Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Assess pupils’ progress and provide feedback to ensure consistent development. Work collaboratively with support staff and colleagues to meet the diverse needs of the class. Foster strong relationships with parents and carers through clear and regular communication. Uphold school policies and promote a positive classroom ethos. Job Requirements: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective classroom strategies. Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills. A proactive, flexible, and dedicated approach to teaching. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Join GSL Education?
