To be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to a Community Service Team within the Integrated Community Services Care Group.
You will support the Integrated Community Stroke Team (ICST), a bay-wide service based within the Furness Team, with office locations at FGH and Fairfield Lane. The team includes a Team Lead (your line manager), Clinical Leads, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Assistant Practitioners. You will also collaborate with administrative support at Lancaster to ensure appropriate coverage across the bay.
The team covers the entire stroke pathway, from acute care (inpatients) to community rehabilitation, and you will play a key role in supporting this pathway.

The post involves telephone contact with staff and patients, utilizing various IT packages, note/file preparation, inputting patient data into EPR systems, supporting audits (SSNAP data for stroke), attending meetings, taking minutes, preparing spreadsheets and audit information under the guidance of the team lead, archiving patient notes, photocopying, scanning, designing and preparing templates and information leaflets.
We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer a range of hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various consultant-led services.
WGH provides general hospital services and an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions.
All three hospitals provide planned care, outpatient services, diagnostics, therapies, day case, and inpatient surgery, along with community outreach services and diagnostics across Morecambe Bay.
