A leading multi‑disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Engineer to join its specialist building technologies team. This role offers the chance to work onplex, high‑profile projects within a supportive, technically strong environment.
You’ll be part of a national team delivering integrated BEMS and control solutions across a wide range of sectors.
Your new role
As a BEMS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and technical oversight of building control systems, working closely with MEP design teams and technology specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing and implementing BEMS control strategies aligned with building services systems
2. Producing specifications, schematics, drawings and points schedules
3. Supporting projects from concept through tomissioning
4. Undertaking site surveys, inspections and witnessingmissioning
5. Providing expert advice on control philosophies and emerging technologies
6. Supporting development of internal technical standards and mentoring junior engineers
7. Attending and contributing to client and contractor meetings

The role offers exposure to a broad and technically challenging project portfolio, including:
8. Aviation and transport infrastructure
9. Defence and secure environments
10. Education and large public buildings
11. Energy andplex engineering facilities
Projects are typically multi‑disciplinary and often delivered as part of wider national and international teams.
What you'll need to succeed
12. Background in BEMS design, application andmissioning
13. Good understanding of BEMS networks, protocols and supervisory systems
14. Hands‑on site experience with installation, testing and fault‑finding
15. Strongmunication and client‑facing skills
16. Degree in Building Services Engineering or similar (preferred)
17. Willingness to travel within the UK when required
