Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work in specialist SEN and SEMH settings across Wakefield.
These roles involve supporting small classes of pupils with additional and emotional needs, delivering learning activities and interventions, and working closely with teaching staff to support positive outcomes.
The role includes:
* Confident delivery of learning to small groups and whole classes
* Supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, Autism and complex needs
* Implementing behaviour management and trauma-informed approaches
* Delivering interventions and supporting engagement with learning
* Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working at HLTA level
* Strong SEN / SEMH experience
* Confidence managing challenging behaviour
* A calm, consistent and adaptable approach
* Good understanding of safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
