Role Overview
As a Multi-Skilled Operative with AH Support Services, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of general building maintenance, carrying out minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and joinery/door repairs. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients’ facilities remain safe, functional, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities
* General Maintenance:
* Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks in line with service level agreements.
* Diagnose and repair minor building defects quickly and effectively.
* Plumbing:
* Fix leaks, unblock drains, replace taps, and carry out other small-scale plumbing jobs.
* Identify issues requiring specialist attention and escalate appropriately.
* Electrical:
* Replace light fittings, fuses, sockets, and other minor electrical components.
* Conduct basic electrical fault finding in accordance with safety regulations.
* Painting & Decorating:
* Prepare and paint surfaces to a high standard, including walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
* Carry out touch-ups and minor cosmetic repairs to maintain property presentation.
* Door & Joinery Repairs:
* Adjust, rehang, and repair doors, handles, hinges, and locks.
* Carry out minor carpentry tasks as required.
* Health & Safety:
* Work in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
* Ensure work areas are kept clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
* Customer Service:
* Communicate professionally with clients and site staff.
* Provide updates on job progress and ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a multi-skilled trade role.
* Basic plumbing, electrical, joinery, and painting skills.
* Understanding of health & safety requirements in maintenance work.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Full UK driving licence required
