The company
Our client designs, manufactures and constructs a wide variety of structural steel projects from simple building frames to the most complex structures. With capability to process 50,000 tonnes of steel per annum and able to service clients at locations throughout the UK and Europe, they are keen to recruit a production administrator to support the process.
The job of Production Administrator
To provide efficient and accurate admin support to the production and QA functions by managing documentation, maintaining in-house production management systems and ensuring information is properly recorded, tracked and communicated across departments. This includes collating and managing QA documentation, refreshing and compiling production status information and providing administrative support across multiple sites (from your desk at Barnsley).
You will scan and link material certificates and issue material certificates to the QA team, generate work orders through the in-house system and update delivery and traceability information.
Requirements
To apply for the production admin position, you will have experience of administration duties and/or document control with the ability to use Microsoft packages including Excel. Excellent communication with a flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work methodically and accurately.
GCSE level English and Maths with good computer skills.
Shifts, Salary and Benefits
The production administrator will work in the office: Mon - Thu - 08.30 - 5.00pm, Friday 08:30 - 3.45pm.
Salary will be dependent on experience, but is expected to be £27,000 to £30,000 p/a.
