We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker / Team Leader to join our team. House 169 is a six-bed residential care home for young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents while promoting their independence and dignity. Additionally, you will play a key role in supervising staff and contributing to the development of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices in senior care.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
* Assist in organising activities that promote social interaction and engagement among residents.
* Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
* Support our young adults with medication
Skills
* Strong background in senior care with a passion for supporting young Adults 18 - 65.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Leadership abilities to supervise staff and foster a supportive team environment.
* Proficient in IT skills for maintaining records and managing care plans digitally.
* Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents within the care home setting.
* Experience in supervising staff members while promoting a culture of continuous improvement in care delivery.
* have Level 3 diploma or NVQ or are prepared to work towards
