Position
We are looking to recruit a positive, compassionate, and self‑motivated GP to join our friendly team at Creswell and Langwith Medical Centre on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to NHS funding and guidance.
Qualifications
* Newly qualified GP within 2 years of qualification.
* International graduates must be qualified, on the GP Specialist List and registered with the GMC.
Responsibilities
* Provide face‑to‑face and telephone consultations for routine and urgent care.
* Deliver clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with practice processes, including face‑to‑face and telephone triage.
* Perform clinical administration tasks, including medical reports, test results, referral letters, and any other duties required in a timely manner.
* Cover weekly on‑call duties and support the service during absences.
* Provide fortnightly rotational cover of the extended access service, a PCN DES requirement, on Tuesdays 18:30‑20:00.
* Make clear consultation notes using System One.
* Ensure safe, evidence‑based, and cost‑effective care in line with Practice disease management protocols and NICE guidelines.
* Independently prescribe medications and review and manage patient medications following the appropriate policies and local clinical guidelines.
* Work with our clinical and non‑clinical team to deliver holistic and patient‑centred care.
* Actively participate in MDT meetings as required.
* Take part in practice audits and actively attend and participate in educational and designated monthly training events.
* Lead on key areas within the practice, such as specific QOF domains, quality standards, and practice initiatives, as agreed with the clinical lead and/or practice manager.
* Provide support and debrief for our trainee registrars.
* Have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
