Make your mark as a Geotechnical Reporting Manager at Gardline!
Gardline is looking to recruit a geotechnical reporting manager to join their busy Geoconsultancy team based in Great Yarmouth.
As part of the Geoconsultancy management team, you will be responsible for geotechnical data and report delivery to clients, keeping up with industry standards and acquisition methods, and developing new data presentation techniques in line with client needs. You will also lead and manage a team of project engineers and contribute to their development.
Your responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and management to a team of geotechnical project engineers and recent graduates, including performance management, coaching, appraisals, and absence management.
* Oversee technical input and quality control of geotechnical data during projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
* Manage the submission of geotechnical reports in a timely manner.
* Understand the full lifecycle of offshore site investigation projects, from tendering to final deliverables, including laboratory testing.
* Develop methodologies, calculations, and deliverables aligned with industry standards and client requirements.
* Assist in tendering processes by providing technical input under the guidance of the Head of Geoconsultancy.
* Promote safety and set a positive example in the workplace.
Your qualities:
* Minimum BSc or equivalent in Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering.
* Extensive experience in offshore geotechnical data acquisition.
* Proficiency in quality control and interpretation of CPT data and seabed samples.
* Experience in producing geotechnical reports.
* Knowledge of technical methodologies and current industry standards.
* Experience mentoring and training geotechnical engineers.
* Management experience is advantageous.
* Ability to travel (valid passport and driving license).
