Management Accountant | Shoreham-by-Sea | Hybrid - Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Focus Group is seeking an analytical and driven Management Accountant to join our financial reporting team at our Shoreham office (HQ). This is full time role with a minimum of 3 days a week based in the Shoreham office. The role is reporting to the finance manager and will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts for specific companies within the group. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across management accounts, group reporting, ad-hoc projects, process improvements and ERP implementation while working with a supportive and dynamic team.
Requirements
About the Opportunity
* Take ownership of the end-to-end preparation of monthly management accounts across defined companies/geographical regions
* Manage full balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
* Analyse financial performance, including margins, overheads, and variances to budget and forecast, providing clear and insightful commentary
* Partner with the Finance Manager and Head of Financial Reporting to enhance reporting and ensure accuracy at all times
* Support the ongoing development and optimisation of the Microsoft D365 ERP system
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Strong understanding of management accounts and core financial principles
* Proactive self-starter with excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to perform under pressure
* Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complexity
* Advanced Excel skills
* Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
Desirable
* Experience using Microsoft D365
* Studying towards, or qualified in, ACCA, CIMA or ACA
