City Health Centre Salaried GP £95,025 to £105,788 per annum

gtd healthcare is one of the largest NHS commissioned Primary and Urgent care providers in North West England. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate GP to join City Health Centre Medical Team, located in Manchester City Centre as part of the Additional Roles Reimbursements Scheme (ARRS)

City Health Centre is a well-supported practice with an experienced practice team, we are situated above Boots on Market Street, with excellent transport links. Our population is diverse and multicultural with a strong community spirit. Our patients are predominantly working age adults of many different nationalities and ethnicities as well as older adults

We see a higher presentation of mental health, womens health, gender dysphoria, chronic disease management and usual GP conditions. We utilise an online triage system and most patients are contacted by telephone first which provides flexibility to manage patients.We were one of the first practices to employ a mental health worker and we find this role very helpful to support in the management of complex patients

Main duties of the job

Your role will be to carry out all relevantmedical/clinical appointments including home visits and associatedadministrative duties within the practice such as medicines management,clinical letters, fit notes, lab reports, medical reports etc.

You will also berequired to act as the GP on call when required. Closely supported by gtd clinical and management teams the post holder will support themedical lead within the practice working alongside the practice team but alsobe part of a larger clinical team across gtdhealthcares network of practices.

The role will be at the forefront of delivering an innovative model ofprimary care service provision operating in partnership with other local gtd practices and the out of hoursprovider offering integrated primary care services.

Job responsibilities

Provision of care & service delivery

* Provide high quality and current evidence based medical care to the patients of the Medical Practice and, where necessary and relevant, patients from other gtd healthcare managed services.
* Provide all GP services required as part of the GMS Contract held between gtd healthcare and commissioners.
* Undertake all necessary and relevant paperwork associated with the provision of medical services.
* Operate as part of a wider networked clinical team with partner practices for peer development, peer support and provision of relevant services.
* Undertake surgeries during extended hours in accordance with the access needs of the practice population and the contractual obligation of the practice.
* Provide support to other clinical professionals within the practice, e.g. Advanced Nurse Practitioner, practice nurses.

Clinical and service development

* Support the achievement of QOF targets, taking a lead on a specific clinical area where appropriate.
* Actively participate in the development of services in the practices that meet the needs of the practices patient population and maximise the opportunities of new enhanced services.
* Work as an integral member of the practice team, contributing to the efficient and effective running of the practice.
* Support, where necessary, the implementation of change within the practice.
* Undertake clinical audits as required.
* Participate in individual and practice reviews as a part of incident or complaints management process.

Development and training

* Participate in an ongoing personal and professional development programme including annual appraisal and supervision.
* Ensure that mandatory training is completed within agreed timescales.
* Where appropriate, undertake the North West Deanery basic trainers course and work with the practice and management teams to either enable practice training status to be achieved or maintain training status.
* Support the development of gtd healthcare becoming a beacon training organisation.

Corporate responsibilities

* Ensure that mandatory training in complete and updated within the appropriate timescales.

Experience

* In practice as a General Practitioner / locum practitioner.
* Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary and skill mixed team environment.
* Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF).
* Experience of supporting service change.
* Experience of team leadership.


Qualifications

* A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003.
* Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
* Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
* Currently on a performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register.
* Accredited as a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) or have 5 yrs experience as a full time GP with a demonstrable commitment to quality practice.
* GP Trainer.
