About the role
You'll need to have an 18th Edition electrical qualification, as well as a HVK license.
Responsible for the efficient running of our Electrical Function within our Skegness resort, you’ll ensure that the highest standard of service is met consistently, ensuring that we delight our guests and receive positive feedback.
Leading a team to deliver excellent service, you will support day-to-day activities of the electrical team, including routine maintenance, servicing, and repairing of domestic, commercial, and electrical equipment. You will manage project works with both team members and subcontractors. You will plan and operate the rota system, including on-call systems, and be available for call-outs if required. You should have good knowledge in fault finding and installation works.
This role involves a 5-day working week over 7 days, so flexibility is important. Occasional late work and at least one weekend day per week will be required.
As part of the Resorts Management team, you will manage internal teams and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all H&S policies.
You will oversee all team activities including recruitment, performance, and development. You should be committed to your team’s fulfillment at work, with regular 1-2-1s and PDP discussions to support their career growth within Butlin’s.
As with all roles at Butlin’s, adaptability and a proactive attitude are essential to ensure a positive guest experience.
About You
We seek an experienced electrical leader who can support the team in delivering outstanding service, always putting guests first. Experience in training and coaching in a fun environment is essential.
You should have previous team leadership experience, the ability to prioritize demanding workloads, work independently, and a good understanding of PC/Microsoft Suite.
Confidence in directing and responding to various situations while maintaining brand standards is important. You should be able to motivate and engage your team, even during high demand, and manage multiple priorities with flexibility.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire your team to achieve excellent results are crucial.
General Duties & Key Responsibilities
* Manage the team during shifts, focusing on key tasks and objectives.
* Drive add-on sales and support team efforts in promotions.
* Ensure availability of stock and propositions for guests.
* Monitor and ensure delivery of a high-quality guest experience in line with brand standards.
* Capture and respond to guest feedback.
* Provide accurate rotas 3 weeks in advance via SAM and ensure system accuracy.
* Monitor NPS and act on guest feedback where possible.
* Coach and develop the team to meet departmental goals.
* Uphold Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours.
* Focus on RPRRT in team rotas.
* Build strong relationships across the resort, other resorts, and support teams.
* Handle people support tasks including onboarding, PDPs, performance management, training, and HR processes.
