Chichester College Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Learning Support Assistant based inBrinsbury. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis (up to 32 hours per week, 36 weeks per year)and in return you will receive a competitive salary pro rata of £24,598 per annum.
The Learning Support Assistant Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work across a variety of settings including classrooms, kitchens, and workshops—providing vital support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You’ll play a key role in helping them succeed in their studies and develop essential life skills, offering both academic and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities of ourLearning Support Assistant :
* To support, within and outside the classroom, the learning and emotional/social/ behavioural needs of students receiving additional support, in accordance with College policies.
* To provide support for personal care where necessary, including administering medication.
* To assist the Head of Learning Support and Resources, Learning Support Team Leaders and Lecturers in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials/resources.
* To take part in and ensure the smooth and effective administration of the provision.
* To create and maintain accurate records.
* To assist in the assessment of student needs.
* To continually review the students’ support needs.
Our ideal Learning Support Assistant should have the below skills and experience:
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English at grade C/4 or above
* Working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, emotional, social and behavioural needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
* Competent in form filling
* The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
* Emotional resilience in the workplace
