We are currently recruiting for an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to work on Highways England Contracts, carrying out maintenance and commissioning activities within your designated area, including the top of M25, M4, M11, and bottom of M1, A14, M40, A1(M).

Our Operations and Maintenance Engineers are critical to our contract delivery, whether that involves maintenance, installation, cabling, or civils works. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.
What you’ll do:
* Attend to cable breaks and repair copper and fibre cables to keep the network operational.
* Ensure all equipment commissioning is completed to standards, on time, and within budget.
* Address equipment issues within Transmission Buildings and Roadside Cabinets within your area, day or night.
* Perform general maintenance and commissioning of fibre and copper equipment, including testing.
* Complete all necessary documentation promptly.
Who you are:
You should have previous experience in a similar role, with familiarity in fault finding and testing in fibre or copper environments.
Key Requirements:
* Experience with motorway communications or related systems.
* Knowledge of telecommunication networks, copper jointing, fibre splicing, and testing.
* Strong health and safety awareness.
* Ability to repair fibre or copper cable breaks.
* Willingness to work overtime or on call when required.
* Full UK driving license.
