An exciting opportunity to join the Natur am Byth project as the Swansea Bay Project Officer. This position is hosted by Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC).
Hours: Part-time (4 days/week). Contract type: Fixed-term until 31 July 2027 (starting ASAP). Salary: £22,471 per annum PT at 0.8 FTE (equivalent to £28,089 FT). Location: Home and/or office-based in south Wales with occasional travel.
Natur am Byth (NaB) is Wales’ flagship species recovery programme. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government, Welsh Government’s Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme, Arts Council Wales and Esmee Fairbairn, Natur am Byth unites nine environmental charities to deliver the country’s largest natural heritage and outreach programme to save species from extinction and reconnect people to nature.
Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) is a national wildlife charity dedicated to the conservation of our native amphibians and reptiles. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, team-focused, self-starter to join our Regional Projects Team in the role of Natur am Byth Project Officer (Swansea Bay).
The ARC Project Officer will work closely with other project partner staff in south Wales to implement the Swansea Bay: Coast, Commons and Communities project. The role will involve recruiting, engaging, training and mentoring volunteers, organising and leading events, and delivering habitat management for a range of species in Swansea Bay.
