Position: Receptionist – General Administrator
Department: Operations
Position Reports To: Building Manager
Length of Contract: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 based on experience
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Main Duties:
1. Provide excellent customer service by greeting and welcoming all guests and employees upon arrival.
2. Prepare, arrange, and offer refreshments to guests whilst they wait for their meetings/appointments.
3. Manage diaries/calendars
4. Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
5. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls and make external calls as needed.
6. Provide basic and accurate information in person and via phone/email.
7. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures).
8. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
9. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue/change/cancel fobs).
10. Order building and office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
