Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse - Breast within our Cancer Services Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse.
Hours And Shift Pattern
18 hours per week – days to suit service/preferred candidate. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What You Will Do
The Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNS) provides holistic care and support to patients and their families with Breast cancers. Specialist nursing advice and care is provided throughout the patient pathway (including diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and end of life) with the ACNS acting as a key worker as well as a core member of the multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting development opportunity for a nurse who seeks to further develop their skills, experience and career.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
* Registered nurse with considerable cancer experience.
* Relevant post‑graduate diploma or equivalent experience.
* Advanced clinical decision making and communication skills.
* Passion for quality improvement.
Full UK Driving Licence/Access To a Vehicle
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.
